Meredith studied massage therapy at the Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts in Seattle, WA and is a recent transplant to North Carolina from Alaska. Her training focused on clinical conditions with a strong emphasis on anatomy and kinesiology. In Meredith’s relatively short time as a massage therapist, she has eagerly sought out opportunities to learn more about the body with extra training in ligament work, movement-based therapy, and Thai massage for the table. As a physically active person, Meredith finds massage is an extremely effective way to increase body awareness and improve performance, no matter whether one is taking walks on the beach or trying to catch waves on a surfboard. Meredith is excited and honored to provide others with the benefits of massage via an individualized, therapeutic massage. She uses a variety of methods such as Swedish massage, myofascial work, and focused trigger point work to help clients manage pain, deal with nagging injuries, or calm the nervous system; i.e. relax.
